Maybe Hallmark created Valentine’s Day. Or maybe it was a florist. Or a restaurant owner. (and honestly, what’s better than Valentine’s Day on a Monday for us!) But who cares who created it!!?
Love should be celebrated every day, of course, but a holiday that influences folks to actually FOCUS on love was a great idea. Stop running around, faxing, emailing, texting, stressing, arguing, multi tasking…and love. Love that.
Our restaurants are sold out tonight, and approaching capacity for Sunday and Monday. That’s around 1,000 folks who will choose Cobblestones or Moonstones as their spot to stare lovingly into each others eyes, split a dessert “two forks”, and someone is sure to propose! Love that too. (how many of those have we witnessed through the years at Cobblestones!?)
Too bad we didn’t work harder at finding a strolling violinist or harpist to add to the mood!
The fire, oysters, champagne, specials, wine and chocolates will have to do. Note to self…contact UMASS music department! They must have a violinist who loves…cheesecake?
