I could not be more excited as all three daughters will be ’round the Easter Table tomorrow, with (20) other family members and close friends. Additionally, my father is driving up from NY, as my Mom, sister and cousin head South from NYC to Maryland for Passover with the Jewish side of the family. Too bad I cannot be at two (make that four!) places at once.
Cobblestones keeps rolling along, and will do over 400 brunches for Easter (I looove setting up the display table each year, weirdly, as much as my kids once loved hunting for chocolate bunnies) And, Moonstones has nearly 300 brunches reserved for tomorrow, and I will rush over there after “glowing” for awhile at Cobblestones–while watching GM Robin Dupell direct dozens of employees, who will thrill hundreds of guests on this very special holiday.
And then, as I have done for too many years, I will finally leave the restaurants–with that-always-present-feeling of dread (“Will they be OK without me“) and join the Massachusetts family (Did I mention all three daughters will be home!!) for Gradnma Sally’s “perfect everytime” Easter bounty, as a prayer is offerred urging all to “Be kind to one another” and as the patriarch of Clan Moynihan glows, and reminds us that “It is all about family”
