How much fun was it to read in this Sunday’s New York Times magazine of a growing medical opinion that, though polyunsaturated fats do indeed help lower cholesterol, the connection between cholesterol and heart disease is sketchy, at best.  In fact, an Australian study of (400) men over the course of many years showed a higher death rate amongst those who lowered their cholesterol by increasing the percentage of polyunsaturated fats–the ones that “everyone” has been claiming are better for you.

Looks like steak for dinner!
