GOLFING WITH INDIANA JONES

I had the pleasure to play golf with one of my favorite vendors recently.  A man more than 10 years older than I, who has been very successful, though he still works a lot harder than he wants to,  (who doesn’t!) as he heads towards 70.  (He would say; “Don’t rush me!”)

Despite his success, he is humble, charitable, thankful, head-over-heels in love with his children–one who joined his business, and one who did not–and the kind of guy you just love listening to–rich with life, and values.

It was interesting to hear how his father was on the PGA tour–and then to have him regret that he received “none of those genes!”  (He’s not lying)

Two of his most amusing quotes for me yesetrday?

“I was fly fishing for Bass, deep in the Brazilian Amazon, with no way in, or out”, and…

“I think I am going to have to sell my plane.”  To which I did NOT say… “Wow…things must be tough.”

Work hard, play hard.  What a country.

I love it.
