NO THANKS

Once upon a time, I thought my job was tough and too often thankless.  A story for another day.  But, in the world of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”, how about being the City Manager during blizzards and snow storms.  The streets are still piled high with snow–adding a component of risk and challenge to walking–or exiting your drive way!  But, to properly clear snow requires, what?  Snarling traffic?  Another parking ban that pisses people off and hurts business?  Paying overtime?! Letting it melt….into March!

No thank you.  I’ll go back to managers explaining calmly that we did NOT  seat you ladies at a less desirable table than the hetero-couple because you were two ladies, together.  Get over it.  You are gay.  Or… you are not.  Really, like, who cares.

Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
