PRIORITIES

Today is a day to remember.

Thank you to all who are commenting and/or texting me about the last two posts; one no longer viewable, about the ex-employee who has thus far failed to pay back a loan I provided him, as he readies to open a new business.  I am not posting your comments because I am not actually seeking controversy, or embarrassment.  I am hopeful he plans to do the right thing and will deal with him otherwise, and, I will address all of your points/questions/etc individually offline–but, to feisty GT, I never said I was “being screwed-over”, though maybe it sounded that way.  That remains to be seen, but part of my original post was relative to the proud fact that in the past I have never had anyone–of the many I have helped throughout my successful and grateful career–fail to (eventually) pay me back.  Some were timely as promised, others took years and damaged friendships.

I appreciate all opinions, truly, but, today anyway, is a time to remember those we have lost and to respect and honor the legacies left..to be grateful. I honor so many who have come before, and helped me personally to actually even be in a position to help others in need;  many now deceased; Peter S, Charlie, Norman, Barbara M, Chef Frank, Big Louie, Guido D, Chef Ed Z, Frankie G, Lenny…) loving and guiding grandparents and family, friends who were once there for me when I was in need, and of course, those in service who have made the greatest of all sacrifices on behalf of our collective safety and freedom, allowing people like me to pursue their dreams.

Happy Memorial Day to one and all.
