Congratulations to the City of Lowell for pulling off a “new and improved” Winterfest, in short order!
I was admittedly skeptical, but by all accounts it was a great event. No big tent? What happens if it’s freezing rain like last year? Well, that didn’t daunt the decision makers and Manager Murphy. Could you imagine how nasty that Dog Sled track would have been in 50+ degrees! It would have turned to a sled “rowing” event. In stating the obvious, Mother Nature will influence a winter celebration in any number of ways as we have seen. Freezing rain last year, a blizzard the year before, no snow at all before that. And this year…Spring! Speaking of which…When do we have a great big SpringFest in Lowell. A few years ago we were on our way to a Festival City reputation. BBQ and Brews…Oktoberfest…Wine and Music…A river dealio that I barely remember. Good times. Just sayin’.
Congratulations to the writer, Peggy McFarland for her latest published work. Please read it. It is excellent. (Peggy moonlights at moonstones as a restaurant general manager! She’s pretty great at that too.)
I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
