HANDHELDS

Have you seen this on many enus?
Friends and I stopped at “Chicadee” in The Seaport yesterday before a meeting at the (immense!) Boston Design Center. Cute, unique, good place–if for some reason you are ‘buried’ in the Seaport and looking for that.
So, a guy at the bar was speaking to the bartender about the now-food definition formerly as “sandwiches?” He wasn’t down like that. I kept quiet–no easy task.
The thing is…Tacos, tortas, arepas, burritos, shwarmas, empenadas, pita pockets, doner kebab and the like–they’re not known as sandwiches in their places of origin. Hence, this new, widely (globally?) encompassing, and more correct characterization. That’s all I got.

  1. Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me?
